Generators in excess of 16A per phase (3.66kW) must comply with Engineering Recommendation G59/2 and will be connected to appropriate points on the network which will enable operation of the generation without any detrimental impact to the connection of other customers. While generators slightly larger than the 16A per phase threshold may connect to a network local to the development, other larger units may require the establishment of dedicated circuits to a Primary or Grid Supply Point substation. This section provides an indication of the system capability to accept these more significant generators.
